Those present were welcomed by our President Cammy Nairn, who thanked everyone for coming along on such an atrocious evening, he thanked Cawder, Lenzie and Hayston for there help in getting all tournaments played, he also thanked his Vice Derek McCulloch for all his help during the previous season, he then moved on to the reports,

Secretary's Report

Thanks must go to all Convenors for completing their matches on time and again to all who helped in getting courses on the playoffs. Special thanks to Milngavie for assisting me during the playoffs as getting a date, course and time proved difficult, they showed the spirit that the League is renowned for.

Thanks to Cawder G.C. and Convenor Bill McCoo for his assistance on the day of the Final. Again thanks to Derek McCulloch for standing in for me in my absence.

Convenors Day

Many thanks to Hayston for hosting this year’s event. An excellent turnout, well done to you all.

On a personal note may I thank the convenors that could not manage along BUT still had their club represented, Many Thanks.

Next Year :- Helensburgh    Sunday 15th August, time still to be arranged

Forrest Trophy

Many thanks to Lenzie Golf Club for hosting our Forrest Trophy this year, their Convenor Peter Ritchie and all the members for the courtesy of the course, thanks to President Cammy, Vice Derek and my wife and daughter for all their help during the day, it is greatly appreciated.

Next Year :- Kirkintilloch (Date and time to be announced)

Treasurer's Report

A report was submitted and figures clarified for members approval no questions were asked and report was approved. Proposed by Kirkintilloch and seconded by Cawder.

Election of Office Bearers

Cammy Nairn again thanked the members for their support and told the members that in discussion with his Vice he proposed it went back to a 1 year post so as to allow as many Convenors as possible to take part.

He then nominated  Derek McCulloch ( Bishopbriggs ) as President for the next year, it was seconded by Eddie Gracie (Windyhill), no further nominations were received and it was approved. Derek then took over chair and proposed Bill McCoo (Cawder) as Vice President for the next year and it was seconded by Cammy Nairn, no further nominations were received, Derek then moved on to Secretary/Treasurer and proposed myself for the position it was seconded by Cammy Nairn, no further nominations were received and I accepted the position.

At this stage a discussion took place as to how the President be nominated and at the end of discussion it was left with the Vice President to ask a fellow Convenor to be his successor, very much in line with Golf Clubs tradition.

Catering.

It was intimated to me by Jim Payne of Cardross that this year Cardross committee have decided that all their team matches would only be provided with Soup and Sandwiches, there then took place an open discussion regarding various clubs own commitments and the decision regarding Catering and Hospitality shall be left at each clubs own discretion.

Website.

Having had the website redesigned I was made aware that certain pieces of information should not be available for general viewing, therefore should you wish further points of contact with your fellow convenors please do not hesitate to contact me.
