Final took place today Sunday 22nd August, (report on Playoffs section) at this time I would really like to thank all the Conveners for their assistance in getting their courses for these playoffs.

Gents, could I ask all Conveners who won Section Trophy's last year to bring them along to Forrest Trophy on Sunday29th or arrange 1 of your players to do deed for you, it would be greatly appreciated,  (it's to save YOU chasing after me Ha Ha !!!)

Course Navigation Systems

Gents this matter was discussed by the Convenors present at A.G.M., it was agreed that ALL matches played under the "Thomson McCrone League" banner would NOT allow any outside Course Navigation Systems. It was also agreed that any player found to be using any external system would automatically forfeit the match that they and their partner were playing in at the time. It was also agreed that this decision was not set in stone and could be reviewed at next year's A.G.M. if wished.

Annual Dinner

Last year's Dinner was held in Clydebank & District clubhouse on Friday 27th November.  Gent's this year's Dinner (2010) shall be held in Renfrew Golf Club on Friday 19th November 2010.

Gents this year's speakers are Mr Willie Young (ex Scottish and FIFA referee) and also Mr Paul Reid (check his website), both come highly recommended so come on guys price shall be maintained at no more than last year's price of £22.50, so lets have a great turnout and no silly excuses like a didnae no it was on, it is well advertised in advance.

Gents I feel I must say that Dumbarton's efforts this year have been atrocious not only did they not turn up for the Forrest Trophy (Second Year Running) they also failed to make an appearance at Conveners Day and not once did I receive a home result from them, all results were passed to me by away Conveners. I really feel that they should perhaps look and see if they wish to participate in this League which I believe is the best in the West. But we need team participation.
