Gentlemen below are the results of this years competition, the winners being Dougalston, what I think makes this such a great win is that their 4th player either forgot or got lost on route, having lost their quarter final tie because 1 of their reserves did not show up I admire their Convenor Sam Bolton's "courage" in only bringing 3 players along . All joking aside a great team effort as Sam also was the Individual winner on the day having won it on the countback procedure. As I stated on the main page of the website I personally cannot thank Captain Willie McLachlan, Sandy (sorry can't remember your second name), catering staff , bar staff, lady in starter's office and the member's of Palacerigg for their exceptional hospitality given to my Wife and Daughter on the day. As you all probably know by now I was playing in a Past Captain's match at Clober against the Past Captain's from Hayston, Clober winning on the day by a narrow margin of 2 holes up. I would also like to thank Mr Derek McAteer the convenor from Dullatur for standing in for me at the presentation and also double checking the cards for the "Davidson Girls" and here was me thinking Derek didn't drink, how he could make up that name like that without a drink beats me. At this stage I would like to thank the Green Staff of the club for the condition of the course, I have spoken with the players of my own club who all said the course was in great condition, just don't go in the rough, well done lads.  Last and most definitely the most important Gentlemen are all of you who played on the day who showed the Davidson Girls as I have been told by them on more than one occasion now the greatest amount of respect and patience on the day.
