Hi Gents, League now getting down to nitty gritty stage and thanks to everyone for getting results in, as always at this time I would ask Convenors who think that they might win their section to speak with their Match Convenor regarding availability of their course towards the end of July, sometimes a little forward mention in their ear helps. As always it would be appreciated at this end.
Convenors Day
This event is being held on Sunday 5th July at Hayston with the 1st tee time being 12.30. Would ask that all convenors attending or not drop me a small e-mail confirming their intentions. Meet at Hayston for 12.10 at latest to allow time for draw to be made. Gents I personally will not be available on the day due to playing in a Past Captain's Team match, but my wife and daughter will be there in my place and I am sure quite a number of you have already met them, they will also be arranging the draw for next year's fixtures. Mr Derek McCulloch (Vice President) will be officiating in my absence and his word is law but a small glass of wine perhaps can make him such a happy chappy.
Course Navigation Systems
Gents it has been brought to my attention that players are using various forms of Course Navigation systems, at the moment not all courses have given permission for them to be used, please find out before starting your games as refusal on the course often offends. It will be discussed by your committee before commencement off Playoff Stages and you will be advised accordingly. Many Thanks
